Making Time For Play
Over time I have come to realise that allowing time for play (yes ‘even’ as adults) is so essential to wellbeing, creative inspiration and learning. I love to set aside days to just sit at my workbench and see where my tools take me. In fact, this is where several of my favourite designs have materialised from, it is also where I have had some total disasters! But from those disasters there have always been lessons learned, metalsmithing techniques honed or goals set for the future.
So this weekend I decided as I had a long to-do list to totally ignore that and to sit at my bench and play, I was in the mood and feeling like being creative and I was so pleased with what came of my ‘playtime’ that i decided to share my process with you. Follow below to see what I have been up to!
This was such a self-care day for me, just being indulgent and seeing what my hands created. I think this is a really important act especially with Christmas fast approaching and with that the busiest season for businesses, it is important to make time to do what you love for you as well as for the lovely customers.#
After sharing a couple of pictures on social media I had so many lovely enquiries that I have listed these pieces in my shop and you can shop them here!
