La Lune
This collection of pieces has been in the making for around a year now, when I lost my son Iver to complications during delivery after a perfectly healthy pregnancy I knew that I had to do something to help make a difference and to help mark Iver’s short life. So with each item sold from this collection I will be donating £5 to Tommy’s charity. Tommy’s charity does incredible work into funding research into miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatal death, 1 in 4 pregnancies end in loss and in this day and age that number is just too high. Tommy’s also provide sound pregnancy information, support to those who have lost a baby and have recently launched the brilliant ‘Tell Me Why’ campaign. You can read more about the phenomenal work Tommy’s do here and even if you haven’t experienced this kind of loss before and aren’t aware of anyone that has I highly recommend checking it out.
The La Lune collection is based around the concept of light and dark and after many sleepless nights the use of crescent moons to represent this seemed to me like the perfect symbolism. The moons and stones represent focusing on the tiniest glimmers of light that can be found in our darkest moments and knowing that even when it feels like those glimmers of light aren’t there because they are obscured by clouds, they are in fact there waiting to shine for us again when the cloud eventually passes. This collection represents to me the process of allowing ones self to linger in those dark nights and holding the small glimmers of lights on your journey, living it, truly experiencing it.
La Lune features recycled silver crescent moons delicately floating amongst tiny ethically sourced gemstones, there is a choice or Laboradite, Salt and Pepper Diamonds, and Cubic Zirconia. Each piece is handmade by myself especially for you when you place your order which is why I am launching a limited number of designs via preorder before Christmas. By keeping the preorder to a limited amount I can ensure I get them straight to you in time for Christmas and of course, each piece comes beautifully giftwrapped.
Five designs are available for pre-order now, with the first batches of orders being delivered in time for their new owners for Christmas. Click through to the shop to view and purchase!
